Terms of Service

You agree to provide accurate contact and delivery information and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for activity through your account. Placing an item in a cart does not reserve it. An order is accepted when we confirm it, and availability may change. We will contact you if we cannot fulfill an order as placed.

Weekly meal orders for Tuesday delivery generally close the preceding Friday at noon Eastern Time. The menu displays the applicable delivery date and cutoff. Custom orders, catering, corporate services, and private chef bookings may require a separate quote or agreement.

Prices appear on the website or in a written quote. Applicable taxes, delivery charges, and other disclosed fees are shown before payment or stated in the quote. Payments made through the website are processed by Stripe. A weekly meal plan purchase covers the selected order or delivery week unless a recurring arrangement is expressly presented and authorized.

Delivery is available only in the areas we serve and to addresses we accept for an order. You are responsible for providing a complete, accessible address and being available for any delivery instructions communicated to you. We will contact you if a delivery problem arises. Delivery times may vary because of traffic, weather, or other circumstances.

Meals are provided ready to heat. Follow any storage, reheating, and use-by instructions supplied with the food.

Menu descriptions and ingredients may change with availability. Tell us about allergies and dietary restrictions before placing an order or accepting a custom quote. We will confirm what accommodations we can make. Unless we expressly confirm otherwise in writing, we cannot guarantee that a meal is free from an allergen or cross-contact. Descriptions such as “gluten-free” or “dairy-free” should be read with any specific information supplied for that item.

To change or cancel an order, or to ask about a refund or credit, contact us as soon as possible at bychefj@gmail.com or 305-772-2060 and we'll do our best to help — changes are easiest before the Friday-noon cutoff and before preparation begins. Custom orders, catering deposits, and gift certificates may follow different terms, which we'll confirm with you in writing before you book. Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

Submitting a catering or private chef inquiry does not create a booking. A booking is confirmed only after we agree on the scope, date, price, payment schedule, and any other event-specific terms. If a signed proposal or agreement conflicts with these website terms for that service, the signed agreement controls.

The website's text, images, branding, and other content belong to Chef J or their respective owners. You may use the site to learn about and purchase our services, but you may not misuse it, interfere with its operation, or copy its content for commercial use without permission.

We are responsible for our obligations under applicable law. To the extent the law permits, we are not liable for losses caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control or for indirect losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when an order was placed. These terms do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful.

Florida law governs these terms, subject to any consumer protections that apply to you regardless of this clause.

We may update these terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. The terms in effect when you place an order govern that order, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
